Camp Program

Woodland Wonders

ages 6 - 12

full day sessions available

Our older campers have a consistent daily routine that provides a comfortable rhythm amidst the excitement of new friends and experiences. Visiting our five Discovery Stations each day provides our campers opportunities to build independence, discover the wonders of our nature campus, and explore their creativity throughout our full-day, daily routine. We know that social relationships become increasingly important for this age group. Our programming allows opportunity for group bonding and relationship building, as well as friendly competition.  Activities are rotated regularly to make sure each day is a new adventure, filled with variety, creativity, and fun!

Playful Pollinators

At The Discovery School Day Camp, we provide a nurturing foundation for our youngest campers to thrive, both indoors and out.  Campers enjoy a consistent daily routine that encompasses playtime, snack & storytime as well as an outdoor nature adventure.  Our playtime includes a daily rotation of specials, such as sensory experiences, creative arts, music and movement, and imaginative play!  Next campers head outdoors to enjoy a relaxing picnic snack and storytime.   We conclude our day with an outdoor nature adventure to stick village, our sandpit mud kitchen, the fairy house, hummingbirds hideout or our pollinator garden!  NOTE: campers must be potty trained to attend camp.

Our Camp Values

Grow Friendships: We provide an environment where children can bond through their shared experiences with nature, the arts, and team building fun! Camp is a special place to grow friendships, both old and new, as well as create cherished memories together.

Encourage Discovery: We provide our campers a place to play together, explore nature, make discoveries, and connect with the joy of childhood. Our campers are encouraged to interact with the natural world and gain confidence in their growing abilities as they explore our 7 acre nature campus.

Inspire Creativity: Creativity is honored and encouraged as campers explore the arts throughout the day. From theater games, to interactive storytelling, to music and movement, to creative art projects, children have the opportunity to explore new and different ways to express themselves.

Promote independenceCampers are given voice and choice throughout the day as they engage in age-appropriate activities within their camper crew. We encourage campers to try new things and take on challenges with the support of their counselors and fellow campers. As they navigate new experiences, campers develop independence and gain self-esteem throughout the week.

Instill Kindness:  We believe in creating a space for all campers and staff to feel free to be themselves. At The Discovery School Day Camp, we strive to inspire a culture of kindness that embodies support, respect, and compassion for all.

Day Camp Parent - Summer 2023

My kid had a great time at the Discovery School camp. This year we tried out different camps, but this was her favorite because there was a variety of activities, including great craft projects and kayaking. We liked that she got to spend so much time outside but that the kids were able to also do fun activities indoors in case of storms or poor air quality. We'll try to sign up for more weeks next summer and are happy our younger kid will be old enough to join as well. Thanks!

Day Camp Parent - Summer 2023

Discovery School Day Camp was phenomenal. My child was so happy at the end of each day and gained confidence in so many areas! Knowing she was having such a good time in such a socially and emotionally safe place was unbeatable.

We are hiring!
